Mojo's Spring Fling Criterium

Presented by Anam Gathering.  Free Youth & Junior racing by Slimmer's Automotive Service.

No Mojo's Spring Fling would be complete with out killer kross winds. Saturday March 20th was no different as the 45 person Cat 3/4 field was whittled down to 16 survivors. An Alta-Sport staff person was seen sputtering at the back an was the 28th person to "pop". The ever popular doublin up on categories has tempted fast guys like Adrian O'Hare to test the waters in the 3/4 field. Adrian enjoys the challenge of racing a 2nd race with the 3/4's and experiences first hand what it takes to compete at that level.

The 3/4 race finished with Ryan Halloran and Brett Johnson off the front the final lap with Major Vowell (Victory) managed to place top two again. Chris Hess struggled with the cross winds but won some all important series points.

The Maclaren team ran away with the top 4 spots in the 1/2/3 race without much resistance. Tom Luke of KCBC was the first non-Maclaren runner up on the day. Maclaren keeps up the tradition of finishing alone or at least of the front.

Nebraska rider Kelly Soden cracks the top three in the 4/5 race but Adrian and Chris continue their battle for the top 3. Currently Adrian holds a comfortable lead with 2 races remaining in the Spring Fling Series.

GP Velotek rider Austin Fick dominates the Cat 5 prologue and finish 2nd at the Cat 5 crit. Bicycle Shack's Jim Coggin's finishes a strong 4th!

Tammy Spray continues her dominate sprinting at her home town course! KCBC sweeps the remaining spots but Tammy and Juli fight for the number one spot on the series leaderboard.

Junior A's saw the break away of Chris Hall and Adam Lang almost lap the field! GP VeloTek's Austin Fick makes a late break for 3rd. Oz Juniors continue to improve... one of these days. Look out!

Power Bee's Josh, Charlie and Randy buzz to the front and beyond.
