Mojo's Spring Fling Criterium

Presented by Anam Gathering.  Free Youth & Junior racing by Slimmer's Automotive Service.

The tightest battle of the 9th annual Spring Fling continues. Bike Shack's Phil Todd continues his Spring march to the top of the Cat 3/4 category. However with the one race drop Phil's 2 points behind Major V. V for victory? We'll see on Sunday April 3rd!

Phil shows his bike handling skills and courage in the deluge at the lake. Ryan Holloran continues to improve and GP Velotek's Jim Whittaker finds his best spring legs to date.

Adrian O'Hara rides strongly as Eric Burch of the Bike Shack finishes 3rd but is second overall. KCOI's Jack Mason continues to improve at the Mojo Fling.

The Cat 1/2/3 race repeated itself with shuffling of McClaren teammates off the front. The McClaren racing duo of Shadd Smith and Bill Stolte flew the coop and the chasing duo of Andy Chocha and Phil Gronniger chased hard to finish a respectable 3rd and 4th. The big man Andy Chocha continues his strong spring campaign and is in 5th in series points as the first non-McClaren racer. Series leader Brian Jensen was absent racing the KSU collegiate race.

Philip Ciesielski won the Mojo Spring Fling Cat 5 races with Jason Schupp finishing 2nd. GP Velotek's Gary Calton placed his highest ever in 3rd.

Tammy Spray lapped the women's field so many times she almost fainted. Way to go Tammy!

Junior Bee's buzzed along and Oz Junior team finally cracks the top step with some smart racing. Chris Hall's solo break was pulled back the last lap and Preston Robert's launched teammate Hervey into the lead. Hall leads the series though.

No beginner women raced but KCBC teammates Kera McDonald and Marian Smith are tied in for 1st in the series lead!
