January 25th, 2004 Team X Cycling team held it's first junior and youth meeting of the new year. Director of Junior development and host of this meeting Jim Whittaker was pleased with the rider turnout. Eleven young riders brazed the icy roads to travel to Lawrence to get their first hint of Spring training and racing. Several new riders were introduced to Team X Cycling.

Special thanks to Jamie Paolinetti of Native Productions for his donation of The Hard Road DVD to Team X Cycling Juniors. Jamie's production of the Hard Road shows the true grit experience of a professionalcycling team and the real life hardships they face. Crashes, low salary, traveling, relationship stress, the Team X Juniors got to see the "glamour" of pro cycling. Still, Jamie's and Net Zero optimism and enthusiasm sums it up, racing cyclist are a different breed and you gotta love it or leave it. From the photo below you can tell youth and adults were focused intently on the 2001 Net Zero Professional racing team!

Team X Cycling youth and junior team has openings for cyclist from age 6 to 18. Any and all skill levels welcome to join with only 3 requirements, 1. Posses an interest in cycling, 2. Come to one meeting a year, 3. Work towards trying one race when you are ready.

Team X Cycling Junior's team is compromised of 15 cyclists with varying abilities and experience. Team X cycling posses a proven track record of developing young riders.
